Science on the Sonoita Plain
Science on the Sonoita Plain was an annual symposium sponsored by the Cienega Watershed Partnership and the National Audubon Society with support from The Nature Conservancy and the Bureau of Land Management. The goal of this annual event was to share results of scientific investigations and land management activities occurring within the upper watersheds of Cienega Creek, Sonoita Creek, and the Babocomari River and to encourage exchange among scientists, land managers, local landowners, and community members about the unique and diverse resources of the Sonoita Plain.
From 2010 to 2019, the symposium was held on the Appleton-Whittell Reserach Ranch. Check out the links below to learn from past events.
